Mrs. Martinez has been teaching at Garden Grove High School for four years. She has served as AVID Lead Coordinator and ELD Department Chair. She earned her B.A. in English from Cal State Fullerton in 2003 and her teaching credential from National University in 2004. She is currently teaching AVID, ELD, and English. She enjoys traveling, reading, cycling, and watching films from various different countries.

Mrs. Brown graduated from Elbert Covell College, a small cluster college inside of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. She earned her B.A. in Inter-American Studies after double majoring in Bilingual Studies and English as a Second Language. Her love of languages comes from her undergraduate experience where half of the students in classes were from Central and South America studying to learn English and the other half were from the United States studying to learn Spanish. After teaching briefly in Mexico City, she taught Spanish and ELD at Jordan Intermediate for over 18 years before joining the staff at GGHS to teach ELD. In her spare time, Mrs. Brown loves to read, travel, and take her four children to Disneyland.
