Graduation Notes

This year’s graduation ceremony will be held on
Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. in Garden Grove High School’s stadium.  The ceremony will last approximately one hour; and the following rules apply:




 This is a Ceremony, so please dress accordingly:
  • Do Not Decorate Your Caps! They will be confiscated!
  • No Flip Flops or Bright Colored Tennis Shoes!
  • High Heels are not recommended (soft grass = problems!)
  • No Cell Phones (They will be confiscated!)
  • Only Academic Regalia may be worn with gowns!

      Give yourself plenty of time: Arrive between 12:10-12:15 P.M.
           Name Card Pick-up will begin at 12:35 P.M. in North Gym Parking Lot
   *You will be searched, so do not put your cap & gown on until you are in the gym!
              Remember which gym you’re supposed to be in and begin lining up!
                               Keep track of your tassel! We don’t carry extras!
              *If you do something stupid, you will be removed by a GGPD Officer!

Cooperation is the key to a great ceremony!



  • No Flowers (Allergies & Bees)
  • *No signs or banners
  • *No balloons
  • *No Umbrellas
  • No food or Drinks (Only Water)
  • **No Noisemakers

*(Everyone wants SEE their child get their diploma!)
**(Everyone wants to HEAR their child’s name called!)

A paid security company will be on hand to enforce the
ceremony guidelines, which are designed to provide an enjoyable environment, as well as allow everyone to
hear and see their loved one as they receive their diploma.



             Violators are subject to removal from the ceremony!
*Gates will open at 1:00 P.M.

Tickets are required and parents & family need to go to the following gates for entry:
*Stanford Gate (between South Gym & Don Wash) RED Tickets Only!  (N-Z)
**7th Street Gate (between Baseball Field & Tennis Courts) WHITE Tickets Only! (A-M)
Tickets have entry points on the back side, as well as guidelines! Please have a meeting spot arranged and
away from the campus, as two more graduations follow ours!  Thank you!

Choir Concert

The Spring Choir Concert, A Night of Motown, is coming up fast.  The show will be Tuesday, June 10th at 7:00 pm in the Don Wash Auditorium.  Pre-sale tickets for everyone are $4, tickets at the door are $5.  Come on out and enjoy a great show!

Senior reminder

All seniors, please stop by the Guidance Office if you received any award or scholarship by May 30th. Also! Don't forget to turn in your acceptance letters (for both 4-year and community college) for the chance to win a scholarship!




Summer Credits

Attention all students! There is an oppertunity to get electve credits before the new school term! Please see Mrs. Lindholm in the Guidance Office to register for ROP Summer School Classes. Some of the openings here at GGHS are Criminal Justice, Criminal Procedures and Principles of Baking. There are other classes available at Rancho, Santiago, Los Amigos, Bolsa, La Quinta and Pacifica.
