GGHS named California Distinguished School

GGHS had qualified for the California Distinguished School Award based on growth in the 6 California Dashboard Indicators, particularly in closing the achievement gap in the academic indicator. (Link to the Dashboard at bottom of "Plans & Accountability" page under "About Us" tab)

We then submitted an application to describe a process that distinguishes us--our comprehensive guidance program. (See description under "Guidance" tab) The state has validated this and named us a 2019 California Distinguished School.

We were one of only 86 high schools in CA to be given this honor. It is a result of all your hard work over the past years and we all should take pride in this accomplishment.

Also, Ladies: There is a dress boutique in Ms Leong's room (725). New and gently used dresses available for $5-10 (proceeds to GGHS Dance/Theater programs)
