Principal's Message

Welcome to Garden Grove High School. GGHS has a rich history that dates back to 1921, and it is an honor to join the Argonauts as your principal.

Garden Grove High School is a place where students thrive, supported by our dedicated teachers, counselors, administrators and support staff. We work together to create a rigorous and supportive learning environment for all students. At GGHS, we believe in and are committed to implementing our District Goals:

1- Academic Skills: All learners will develop the academic skills necessary for continual individual growth towards mastery of standards.

2 - Personal Skills: All learners will develop the personal skills necessary to achieve academic and social goals.

3 - Lifelong Success: All learners will be prepared for lifelong success in their intended career paths.

There are many ways for students to get involved in campus life. From school activities, to athletics, to a wide variety of clubs - there is something for everyone. I encourage you to find your niche and if you have a specific interest, there’s even a process for starting a new club.

We have many opportunities for parent involvement throughout the year. Back to School Night is on Wednesday, August 30, and is an excellent opportunity to meet your student’s teachers. We will host parent education classes and Open House and have committees such as School Site Council and English Learner Advisory Committee. Watch for more information sent through Parent Square.

I am pleased to announce that construction is finished on the new building and the 800 and 900 wings will be open when school starts! These permanent classrooms are absolutely beautiful and have replaced the portables, formerly known as P-Town.

I am looking forward to a great year together!

Go Argos!
