Description

The Algebra 2 course is designed to help students learn the critical elements of linear, exponential, radical, and rational, logarithmic, and polynomial functions. This course will challenge students to work to create functional models using graphs, tables, and equations. Students will also learn how the three-dimensional world of conics applies to algebraic concepts and polynomials. Also, students will gain an introduction to probability involving permutations and combinations along with statistics.

Throughout the course students will learn alongside their peers in problem solving activities where they can work together to make sense of problems, reason abstractly and quantitatively, construct reasonable arguments, critique the reasoning of others, and receive critiques from others. Students will also learn how to use valuable tools such as the graphing calculator and other mathematic software to model different types of functions.

Text Book

Students will be issued one textbook to be used throughout the school year: Geometry McGrawHill
