Welcome to the GGHS Counseling Office!
The mission of the Garden Grove High School Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive, equitable, and student-centered counseling program that ensures all students develop the academic skills, personal and social growth, and college and career readiness needed for lifelong success.

Students will receive:
- High school course planning to meet college entrance requirements
- Opportunities to meet with college representatives on the high school campus and at the District College Information Night
- College Testing Information (PSAT, ACT, SAT, AP)
- Financial aid / scholarship information
- Assistance with applications, scholarship and admission recommendations
- College information appropriate to individual goals
- Career and Technical Education: Career Pathways
- Community college vocational programs and trade/technical school information
- Military service information
Students and parents can also expect the following services:
- Development of a personal academic plan
- Pre-enrollment orientation to include the scheduling process and graduation requirements
- Registration, scheduling, and program adjustments as needed
- Test results interpretation
- Parent conferencing, parent-teacher conference arrangements
- Counseling assistance and referral information for special needs
- Special grade reports provided upon request
- Transcripts and graduation status reports

Parents or students interested in reading the State adopted Academic Content Standards in the areas of English-Language Arts, Mathematics, History-Social, Science and Visual and Performing Arts can visit the California Department of Education website.
